Important information
  • Not wheelchair accessible, recommended only for those in good health (no heart or other physical problems),
  • Moderate level of training is required. Ability to ride a bicycle is required;
  • The hike requires good weather: should it be cancelled due to bad weather, a new date or a full refund will be offered;
  • Meeting time is required about 20' before.

A complete 115 km itinerary with 2,100 meters of elevation gain, or 148 km and 2,500 meters if you want to tackle the entire perimeter of the island—but be careful: this requires a gravel bike due to some unpaved sections.You can choose to complete it in a single day or split it into two stages.

Elba also offers splendid road routes, but be careful: the island is full of short but challenging climbs, which can surprise those who aren't very fit. The western part is certainly the most scenic, especially if traveled counterclockwise: a road that gently descends for kilometers, offering speed and breathtaking views.

The recommended starting point is Elba MTB Lacona, but you can start from any location (this can be specified during the booking process). If you don't have a bike, we'll contact you later to rent it (at a special price).
