Ocean Seafaris | Pelagic Bird Watching
The Azores archipelago, in the heart of the North Atlantic, is an excellent place to observe seabirds.
We depart from Rabo de Peixe harbor at sunrise, when seabirds are most active. On board our RHIB FUSEIRO, we explore pelagic and coastal areas rich in marine life.
A specialized naturalist guide accompanies the group, sharing insights into bird behavior, local biodiversity, and marine ecosystems.
During the tour, you may observe:
- Pelagic seabirds in their natural habitat
- Coastal colonies and feeding activity
- Other marine species near protected areas (IBA)
This experience combines adventure, learning, and direct contact with nature, suitable for both beginners and experienced birdwatchers.
Sailor’s Tip - Book in Advance
The north coast of São Miguel is more exposed to the Atlantic, and conditions may vary. We recommend booking early in your stay to ensure flexibility in case of weather-related cancellations.
